O'Leva Lucille Shaulis, 85, of Somerset, died April 19, 2021 at Siemon's Lakeview Manor Estate, Somerset. Born September 19, 1935 in Somerset, she is the daughter of Salvador Baptist and Nettie Myrtle (Brown) Sargent. Preceded in death by her parents, brothers: James, Frank, Salvador "Sie" Jr., and Lester Sargent, and sisters: Louise Felton, Felesene Durst, Helen "Dolly" Hoyle and E. Lorraine Greennagel. Survived by her husband Ernest Richard Shaulis to whom she was married 62 years, children; Rhonda Yahner and husband David of Somerset, and Eugene Shaulis and wife Elizabeth of Frederick, MD, grandchildren; Isaac, Matthew, and Jessie Yahner, and Max and Allison Shaulis, also sister Mary Ann Moul and husband Robert of Fredericksburg, VA. O'Leva was a 1953 graduate of Somerset High School, she worked until her retirement as a teachers aid for IU8 in the Somerset Area her students her called her affectionately Mrs. Shaw, were still calling her regularly late in life. She was a member of the Sipesville Church of the Brethren, where she taught Sunday School, was periodically the director of Bible School, participated in the church choir, and was a deacon. She also enjoyed gardening, bowling, and cherished her grandchildren, and keeping many of her nieces and nephews "in line". Viewing and services will be private on Saturday at the Hauger-Zeigler Funeral Home & Cremation Services, Somerset, with Reverends Cecil Lohr and Royden Airesman officiating.
