Norval "Scotty" Keith of Dallas, Texas passed away on Saturday, January 9, 2021 at his residence at The Tradition Lovers Lane. He was born on January 10, 1934 to Norval and Margaret Keith and raised in Astoria, New York City, where he met and married his childhood sweetheart, Lee.
Scotty served in the U.S. Army during the Korean War. After his service, he went to work on Wall Street and then accepted a position in Dallas, eventually becoming a head OTC Trader. Scotty served for a year as the President of the Dallas Association of Securities Dealers and was known as "Uncle Scotty" to those he mentored.
Scotty loved being a regular volunteer at the Baylor Heart Hospital. He was awarded volunteer of the year several times. He was also elected to the Resident Council at The Tradition for as many terms as is allowed. Among Scotty's great loves were golf and automobiles. He built kit cars and raced on the amateur race car circuit as a young man. He also loved children, and he was a beloved "Grandpa" to many.
Scotty is survived by his wife of 66 years, Claudette "Lee" Keith, son Craig Keith, daughters Dori Keith McAnulty and Colleen Keith Meyer, his sister Margaret Florio, daughter-in-law Kay Bettis Keith and son-in-law John McAnulty, three granddaughters and five great grandchildren. The family requests donations to The Salvation Army in lieu of flowers.
