Norman Glenn Lytle, 82, of Sour Lake, Texas passed away on Thursday, June 10, 2021, at his residence in Sour Lake surrounded by his loving family.
Norman was born on November 3, 1938, in Port Arthur, Texas to Delores Maxine White Lytle and Floyd Peyton Lytle. He was a retired Vietnam Veteran in the United States Marine Corps with thirty years of service across the country and overseas. Norman was a Master Gunnery Sergeant stationed all across America before he retired in 1988 and built his home in Sour Lake which he finished in 1990. He had various hobbies such as wine making; bee keeping, shrimping and finally growing and raising cactus. Norman loved his family and enjoyed his friends and traveling and will be missed dearly.
Survivors include his son, Norman Glenn Lytle II and his wife Felicia Lynn Brinkley of Wildwood, Texas and his daughter, Norma Mull and her husband Don of Sour Lake, Texas; grandchildren, Amanda Mull of Sour Lake, Matthew Mull and his wife Sheena Mull of Lumberton, Sherrie Seymour and her husband Bennett Seymour of Sour Lake and Kellie Miller and her husband Edward of Sour Lake; great grandchildren, Kali Seymour, Chandler Seymour, Zadi Seymour, Chloe Miller, Jacob Paxton and Mila Mull. Norman was preceded in death by the love of his life, Gay Florence Lytle who passed away in 2011; his parents and siblings; his daughter-in-law, Elizabeth M. Lytle.
A visitation will take place from 10:00 a.m. until 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, June 15, 2021, at Grammier-Oberle Funeral Home in Port Arthur with a Chapel service to Honor Mr. Lytle to be conducted at 11:00 a.m. Tuesday at the funeral home. Burial will follow at Greenlawn Memorial Park in Groves, Texas.
