Theodore Lane Brann, better known as Ted, was born November 2, 1949, in Weslaco, TX to June Kobeck and Gene Tinsley and later formally adopted by Charles Brann. Ted passed away on August 31, 2021, in Boerne, TX at 71 years of age. Ted is survived by Anne, his loving wife of 52 years, his 8 children (his favorite, Jeremy, wrote this), their respective spouses and 21 grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his mother, June and his father's, Gene and Charles.
Ted received his bachelor's degree in Biology from Pan American University, largely due to the efforts of his wife. He served in the US Air Force during the Vietnam era and he cherished his status as a veteran. Ted was also a faithful member and High Priest in The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. One of his greatest joys was attending church services and supporting Anne from the front row while she taught Sunday School.
Ted was an entrepreneur at heart, having started a number of businesses over the course of his life. He loved to work and tirelessly pursued each endeavor he undertook until it was time to move on. Besides the love of his life, Anne, Ted was passionate about guns and shooting, playing golf, Bigfoot, and aliens. He was kind to all and made it his job to treat everyone as he would like to be treated. Ted never met a stranger and had a special ability to make people smile. He will be remembered for his mischievous smile and the twinkle in his eye when he was up to no good.
Given Ted's passion for guns, veterans, Texas, and America, please consider donating to the Wounded Warrior Project (www.woundedwarriorproject.org) in lieu of flowers.
