Norman (Bruce) Calhoun resident of Orofino, Idaho formerly of Nampa died Monday June 27th after a lengthy battle with lung disease.
He was a retired Navy submariner and did a tour as a Navy recruiter in Nampa. He retired and continued to raise his family in Nampa with his wife Jennie Zigon-Calhoun. They later divorced.
He is survived by his wife Sharon of Orofino. Sons Robert, George, Bruce, and Mac along with daughter Jennifer. Stepchildren Kenny, Albert, Frannie Zigon, Amy Riley and Mike Calkins, and nephew Scott Calhoun.
Preceding him in death were his parents, brothers Jess & Doug, and son Albert Zigon.
A Celebration of life will be held at Pink House Hole on the banks of the Clearwater River in Orofino Saturday July 9th at 4 PM. Potluck to follow. Internment will be held on Monday July 11th at 11 AM at the Boise VA Cemetery.
