Graveside services for Norma Jean Sylestine, 56, of Flint, Texas, will be held Friday, August 27, 2021 at 10:00 a.m. at the First Texas Indian Baptist Cemetery in Livingston, Texas with Pastor Scott Brown officiating. Visitation will be held from 8:30 a.m. until the procession leaves at 9:30 a.m. in the Cochran Funeral Home in Livingston, Texas.
Mrs. Sylestine was born May 26, 1965 in Woodville, Texas to parents, Levete Alexander and Lucille (Abbey) Alexander, and passed away August 21, 2021 in Flint, Texas. She is preceded in death by her parents; and brother, Glen Dale Williams.
She is survived by her husband, Sherald Sylestine of Flint, Texas; daughter, Narcissa Sylestine of Flint, Texas; sons, SGT. Kevin Sylestine of Colorado Springs, Colorado, and Jalen Sylestine of Flint, Texas; sisters, Beverly Ann Spence and husband, James of Goose Creek, South Carolina, and Donna Shendo and Carlene Bullock both of Livingston, Texas; brother, John Alexander of Livingston, Texas; and sister, Kay Whitethunder also of Livingston; along with numerous other relatives and a host of friends.
