Norma Jean Price, 89, of Sanford went home to be with the Lord on June 29, 2023.
Norma was born to the late Doyle and Mabel Hetrick on July 18, 1933, in Kittanning, Pennsylvania. Besides her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband Sam Price, and her brother Jack Hetrick.
She is survived by her children Becky Bingaman and husband Ty, Wayne Price and wife Donna; grandchildren Jennifer Blank and husband Tyler, Leigh Steavenson and husband Tim; great-grandchildren Andrew Steavenson, and Calvin and Sophie Blank.
Norma worked as a registered nurse in surgery and emergency at Cape Fear Valley Hospital and later in Urology with Dr. Stephen Rochman and the late Dr. Charles Hoffman.
When Norma retired, she took painting classes, enjoyed square dancing with the Sandpipers, and traveled with her late husband. She loved feeding the birds and caring for her many flowers and plants. Norma enjoyed baking and visiting her neighbors. Norma was a kind and wonderful mom and grandmother and she will be missed by family and friends.
