Norma Gail Tosh Boren Stephens. Born to Joe Tosh and Rhudell Lewis Tosh on February 20th, 1936, in Italy, Texas. In her youth, Norma grew up in the Miller Switch and Wilmer Hutchins areas of south Dallas and Ellis county surrounded by multiple relatives and cousins in the Lewis and Tosh families.
Norma met Albert Boren, the love of her life in 1954 and in January of 1956 Norma and Albert were married. Norma welcomed their first son Mark Douglas in 1962, but sadly lost Mark within hours. In November of 1963, Norma and Albert adopted Scott, and moved from Oak Cliff to Duncanville and in 1966 welcomed their third son, Michael Todd.
Norma was the consummate wife and mother leading with faith, discipline, and unrelenting love. Through the years, Norma enjoyed square dancing with Albert, mentoring youth at Albert and Norma's church, family camping trips and time with family at the lake. Spending time with friends at Flowers by Sandra, hosting a Christmas Open House for friends and family and visiting friends at the donut shop. Hobbies included collecting Depression Glass, travelling, cheering on the Dallas Mavericks and Texas Rangers and enjoying Mexican food and beverages.
Norma is proceeded in death by her parents, Rhudell Lewis Tosh and Joe Tosh, son, Mark Douglas, husband, Albert Boren and husband, Wendell Stephens.
Norma is survived by son and daughter in law, Julie and Todd Boren, their children Lilli, Philip, Michael and Thomas Boren. As well, by son and daughter in law, Katherine and Scott Boren and their daughter, Victoria Rhudell Boren Castor and husband Philip.
A Celebration of Life Service will be held at 2:00 PM, Friday, March 10, 2023 at Holy Covenant United Methodist Church, Holy Covenant United Methodist Church - 1901 E. Peters Colony, Carrollton, Texas 75007.
In lieu of flowers, a contribution to Holy Covenant United Methodist Church would be a fitting tribute to Norma Gail Tosh Boren Stephens.
