Noretta was born on March 3rd, 1937 and slipped from her worldly existence and into eternal life with Jesus on August 1, 2022 after a brief illness.
Noretta was the fifth of six children of Carl and Florence Berner of the Kress community. She graduated from Kress High School and later married Ronald Adrian of Plainview on March 5th, 1955.
She was active in her church and LWML for most of her life. She was a Mother and Grandmother, homemaker, farm wife and caregiver.
Her husband of 42 years, Ronald, passed away in 1997. Noretta is also proceeded in death by her father and mother, brothers Everett, Harold and Roy, and sister Edna. She is survived by one brother, Richard. She is also survived by her sons Gerald of Lewes, Delaware, Gary, Marvin and daughter Anita, all of Lubbock and grandchildren Trevor Adrian of Lubbock, Kate Cusumano of Millersville, Pennsylvania and Terrence Adrian of Clovis.
Noretta was a kind and selfless soul, loving and caring, never asking of anything, rather giving of herself every day. She tolerated muddy roads, the insecurities and unknowns of farm life, livestock and all their smells and troubles, all the requirements of time and devotion as sole caregiver to her disabled daughter Anita, raised three rambunctious boys and still had a smile for everyone. She will be remembered as being sweet, happy and content, devoted and committed to her family and grounded in her unwavering faith in the Lord.
