Norberto "Beto" Balli Vasquez, entered into eternal rest in San Antonio, Texas on August 21, 2018 at the age of 84. He was born in San Benito, Texas to Dionicio "Nicho" Vasquez and Juanita (Balli) Vasquez on November 26, 1933 and raised in Harlingen, Texas., where he lived most of his life. He married Alzirinha Garza Rios and they shared a marriage of almost 50 years.
Beto was a graduate of Harlingen High School and he attended the University of Texas at Austin. He was a true Longhorn fan. Beto faithfully served his country in the United States Army. He retired from the Army in 1958. Upon retiring, he and his wife moved to San Antonio to be close to family. Beto was self employed and ran a family owned business in Harlingen. He enjoyed staying busy, going to movies, traveling and going out with his family. He enjoyed spending time with his only grandson Nicolas "Nico" Jesus Vasquez.
He was preceded in death by his parents Dionicio and Juanita Vasquez.
Left to treasure Beto's memory and carry on his legacy are his wife, Alzirinha G. Vasquez ; daughter Alzi Vasquez, son Beto J. Vasquez, daughter in law Martha Rosas Vasquez, and grandson Nicolas J. Vasquez.
The Vasquez family will be celebrating Beto's life with friends and relatives on Thursday, August 30, 2018 from 4:00 to 8:00 PM at Puente and Son's Funeral Chapels located at 14315 Judson Road in San Antonio, Texas 78233.
A Christian Service will be held at Puente and Son's Funeral Chapels at 11 AM on Friday, August 31, 2018 . Following the service, Beto will be laid to rest at Sunset Memorial Park located at 1701 Austin Hwy in San Antonio, Texas 78218.
