Norb was born Jan 13, 1943 in Dallas, TX and passed away on Jul 25, 2021. He was the second son of the late Ernest and Agnes Lanicek. He is survived by his sister Eva Thompson and her husband Roy, nephew Rick Lanicek and his wife Julie, nephew Shane Thompson and his wife Samantha, niece Monica Thompson, nephew Dan Lanicek and his wife Kim, SIL Pat Lanicek, and seven grandnieces and grandnephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, brother Ernest Lanicek, and nephew Chris Thompson. A US Army veteran, Norb spent most of his life in restaurant equipment sales when he was not riding his bike around White Rock Lake or in events such as the Hotter'N Hell 100-mile ride. A sweet, gentle, and kind man, Norb was loved by everyone who knew him and will be deeply missed. A memorial mass is planned for 10:00 AM Friday, Aug 13 at St Monica Catholic Church in Dallas. Please join the family for a wake at the home of Rick and Julie Lanicek after the services.
