Nolan Daniel Ridge, 25, passed away Sunday, March 3, 2024.
Born in West Columbia, he was the son of Vonda Richardson Ridge and Michael Alan Ridge. He was a graduate of Batesburg-Leesville High School class of 2017 and played trumpet for the award-winning BLHS Panther Band. He attended Greenville Technical College where he received his associate degree and then went on to General Motors Automotive Service Educational Program. Nolan was employed with Herndon Chevrolet in Lexington.
Nolan was a man of many passions. His love for cars drew him to his career as an ASE certified automotive technician. He loved to help people work on their cars any chance he got. With a fishing rod in hand, he found comfort by the water, patiently waiting for the next big catch. His love for animals knew no bounds; he had a soft spot for every creature, big or small. A true jokester at heart, he could lighten any mood with his witty humor and playful pranks. But above all, his love for his momma was unmatched, a bond that brought him endless joy and comfort. He lived life with a twinkle in his eyes and a heart full of love for the things that mattered most to him.
Surviving alongside his parents are a brother, Michael Ridge of Greenville, a sister, Kendall Ridge of Cullowhee, NC, paternal grandparents, Morris and Faye Ridge of Greenwood, aunts and uncles, Kelley Skinner (Jim) of Charlotte, NC, Jana Hodges (Richard) of Port Saint Joe, FL, Donna Neal of Batesburg, Renee Crisp (George) of Hartwell, GA, Ricky Richardson (Wanda) of Newberry, Dawn Jones (Mark) of Fort Smith, Arkansas, Nadine Richardson of Egan, Louisiana, and Sean Richardson of Texas, nine cousins, Preston Fry, Mindy Fry, Ashton Young, Channing Hill, Ryan Coleman, Jon Coleman, Steffen Richardson, Owen Reppond, Dylan Jones, Lauren Reppond, Shelby Richardson, Sean Patrick Richardson, and three furry companions, M.J., Red, and Noodle.
