Nita Harrison Wiloth Burton was born on Tuesday, October 15, 1929 to Emmett Harrison and Maggie Walker Harrison in Breckenridge, Texas. She passed away on February 7, 2024 at her home. She attended Breckenridge schools. She was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church for over sixty-five years. She started working very early in life and continued all her life. She taught her children to honor God and keep him first in their life, to work hard and always love your family. She was married to Rudy Wiloth and raised their six children. Rudy passed away on February 25, 1978. On March 11, 1989, she married Albert Burton and they spent the next 34 1/2 years enjoying each other and their family.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Emmett and Maggie Harrison; her husbands, Rudy Wiloth and Al Burton; her brothers and sisters and their spouses, Sam and Lois Harrison, Susie and Gene Dendy, Fannie and Ollie Gandy, Lurenah and Alvin Gandy, Tres Harrison, Evelyn and Les Welch, Tommy and Mary Helen Harrison and many nieces and nephews.
Nita is survived by her children, Mike and Becky Wiloth, Beverley and Buford Salters, Kim and Trumi Wiloth, Mindy and Bob Skelton, Tempie Wiloth, Tammy and Tommie Brown, all of Albany; grandchildren, Cody, Cassie, Bethany, Ashleigh, Matthew, Adam, Tim, Robin, Teagan, Andy, Kaithlyn and Taryn and 27 great grandchildren.
The family of Nita would like to thank Home Instead and Enhabit Hospice for their help. We especially thank Dena, Tonya, and Nisa. Without their help, we could not have kept Mama home.
Funeral services will be held at 2pm, Saturday, February 10th at Trinity Lutheran Church with Rev. Tom Chandler officiating. Interment will follow at the Albany Cemetery under the direction of Morehart Mortuary. Visitation will be held from 5pm to 6:30pm, Friday, February 9th at Morehart Mortuary of Albany.
