Ninnevah Nancy Neal DelGuercio, 68, of Norwood, North Carolina, formerly Southern Pines and Hamlet, passed away peacefully at her home on Sunday, June 30th with family by her side.
Born in Raleigh, November 15th, 1955, she was the daughter of the late Dr. John William and Nancy McEachern Neal. Ninna attended North Carolina State University as well as the North Carolina School of Arts and was the principal dancer of the Raleigh Civic Ballet from the ages of twelve to twenty. Ninna was voted Miss Richmond County in 1974 and went on to compete for Miss North Carolina. In 1987, Ninna married Peter Henry DelGuercio and moved to New Hampshire where their two sons, Eligio Neal DelGuercio III and Joseph Dante DelGuercio (Chelsea) were born. Ninna was the family organizer, getting everyone together for family occasions, parties and reunions. She enjoyed hosting these get-togethers, cooking delicious meals and entertaining family and friends.
Ninna was the loving sister of seven siblings, Dr. John W. Neal (Lynn), Dr. Paul G. Neal (Becky), Kemp A. Neal (Donna), of Southern Pines, Christopher H. Neal of Gibson, Frazier Neal (Kurt Baum) of Summersville SC, Robert F. Neal of Hamlet and Philip H. Neal of Indian Trail. In addition, she was blessed with two grandchildren, Ruby A. DelGuercio of Norwood and Henry W. DelGuercio of Wilmington.
