Nina F. Wiesmueller, 85, of Fox Lake passed away peacefully on Tuesday, January 21, 2025 at the Golden Years of Randolph.
Nina was born on January 3, 1940 the daughter of Custer and Violette (Wheling) Werner in Hartford, Wisconsin. She attended Dodge County Normal School and also UW of Whitewater graduating with a degree in Elementary Education. On August 11, 1967, she was married to Glen Wiesmueller in Iron Ridge, Wisconsin.
Nina dedicated 33 years to being a first grade teacher. She began her career in Waukesha and finished her career in the Hartford School District. She was a faithful member of St. John Lutheran Church in Fox Lake, a member of the Ladies of St. John's and a volunteer for Builders for Christ. Nina also generously gave her time volunteering at the Bethesda Thrift Store.
She and her husband, Glen opened their hearts and home to many foreign exchange students and student teachers over the years, creating lasting connections and unforgettable memories. Together, they also shared a love for the outdoors, enjoying many cherished moments hunting and fishing side by side.
Nina will be deeply missed by her husband Glen and her sister Jean Kintopp. She is further survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by her son Joseph Custer, her parents Custer and Violette Werner, and her siblings: Richard Werner, Joan Werner, Darlene (Wilber) Whitty, June (Darwin) Wolf and Phyllis (Darl) Lehman.
A memorial gathering will be held on Saturday, February 1, 2025 from 9:00 .m. until 11:00 a.m. at St. John's Ev. Lutheran Church, 110 Edgewater Dr., Fox Lake. A memorial service will begin at 11:00 a.m. with Rev. Bryan Prell officiating.
In lieu of flowers memorial gifts in Nina's memory may be directed to St. John's Lutheran Remodeling Project to celebrate the church's 125th Anniversary.
Nina's kindness and dedication, and love for her family and community will be deeply missed by all who knew her.
