Nigel Arden Francis Dyette, 51, of Columbus, Indiana, died unexpectedly Thursday, February 4, 2021 at his home. He was born on December 3, 1969 in Trinidad and Tobago, the son of Ralph and Grace Dyette. He married Angel Dyette on May 2, 2014
Nigel attended the school of St. Benedict's College. He worked at Cummins Engine Company from 2004-2009 and was currently employed at Amazon. He loved to spend time with his friends and spending quality with his family. No matter if it was singing or dancing, Nigel was the light of any party. He was always smiling and kept a positive state of mind.
The funeral will be conducted at 2:00 p.m. Friday at Barkes, Weaver & Glick Funeral Home on Washington Street with Pastor Chauncey Romine officiating. Visitation will be from 12:00 p.m. until the time of service Friday at the funeral home. In keeping with Nigel's wishes, cremation will take place following the service. Due to pandemic restrictions, we are limited to 50 people in our funeral home. We do ask that visitors follow the social distancing guidelines once inside the funeral home and masks are required.
Survivors include his father, Ralph Dyette and mother, Grace Dyette; brothers, Everard and Raymond Dyette; sisters, Camille and Rachael, all of Trinidad and Tobago; children, Crystal, Brittany, Kristaan, Sara-Jane of Trinidad and Tobago, Jaidyn of Seattle, Washington, Tristen and Maleah of Columbus, Indiana, Nikolai and Kingsten of Crothersville, Indiana; grandfather of Amerie, Sarai and Paris; step-father of Devin Burris and Britney Pagels of Columbus, Indiana; sister-in-law, Sebrina Bragg of Indianapolis, Indiana; father-in-law, Duke Baker of Scipio, Indiana and best friend, Noland Herbert, also of Columbus, Indiana.
