Nicolas Andrew Spirito, age 31, died in Dallas, TX on March 28, 2021.
Our beloved Nico Spirito was born on November 24, 1989 in Plano, Texas. He wore the title of "Cowboy" well, always wearing his boots, loving all sports, especially football, and enjoying a cold beer while savoring some delicious Tex-Mex or steak, most likely followed by a decadent dessert. He attended Parish Episcopal School where he met many of his closest friends. Parish held a special place in his heart as he continued cheering on the Panther football team and attending other alumni events. Nico lived most of his life in what he considered the greatest state in our nation, only leaving for four years to attend the prestigious University of Mississippi (aka the "Harvard of the South") where he graduated in 2012 with a degree in Marketing. After college, Nico worked at DriveTime before beginning his career as a recruiter with Nesco Resource. Recently, he started working at Ciber Global where his employers commented he was their "up and coming star."
Nicolas loved his family and friends with all his big heart. His quiet nature and easy demeanor were charming to everyone who was lucky enough to meet him. Every day we will miss his infectious laugh, bear hugs, kind heart and fun personality. Rest in peace our sweet Texas boy.
Nico is survived by his mother Cheryl Howard (Steve) of Dallas, TX, father Brad Spirito (Laura) of Lantana,TX, brother Chase (Kaci), nieces Ruess and Ryleigh, and nephew Reid of Chicago, IL, grandmother Juanita Van Dyk of Mission Viejo, CA, and many cherished aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends. Nico was preceded in death by grandparents Andy and Faith Spirito and grandfather, Bert Van Dyk.
