Nicholas (Nicky) Tullai, Jr., 71, of Kittanning, passed away unexpectedly on June 30, 2022.
Born August 28,1950 in Kittanning, he was the son of the late Nicholas and Lena (Liberto) Tullai, Sr.
Nick grew up and maintained his proud support for the people of Ford City and their sports teams (GO SABERS). He loved people watching, and walking. His burning passion was sports- whether it be any of his beloved Pittsburgh teams (Pirates, Steelers, Penguins) or his Sabers teams, he was sure to be in the stands cheering them on. He was a proud 1969 graduate of Ford City High School, and always attended his reunions with enthusiasm. He was wellknown for his love of sports and pin memorabilia.
Nick worked in the accounting department for Westmoreland Corrections Facility, retiring after 35 years. He loved his family, his sports teams, and his hobbies. He was a longtime member of St. Mary Ukrainian Church in Ford City and a past member of the Ford City Eagles.
Nick is survived by sisters, Sara (Wesley) Cravener of Ford Cliff, Nancy (Dennis) Gianotti of New Kensington, Susan (Raymond) Tullai-Mc- Guiness of Painesville Township, OH, Rosalie (Richard) Hogg of Kittanning; brothers, Thomas Tullai of Vancouver WA, Michael (Michele) Tullai of Bolivia, NC, and Andrew (Michele) Tullai of Jefferson Hills; many nieces, nephews; extended family and great friends.
Visitations will be held Thursday, July 7, 2022 from 2-4 P.M. and 6-8 P.M. in the Mantini Funeral Home, Inc., 701 Sixth Avenue, Ford City. Transfer prayers will be accorded on Friday, July 8, 2022 at 9:30 A.M. followed by 10 A.M. Mass of Christian burial in St. Mary Ukrainian Church with Father John Gribik as officiant. Burial will follow in St. Mary Ukrainian Cemetery, Ford City.
