Nicholas W. Misenti, Jr.Nicholas W. Misenti, Jr., 76, of Higganum, husband of Beverly (Chapman) Misenti, died Saturday, July 16, 2022, at Hartford Hospital, surrounded by his family. He was born in Middletown, the son of the late Nicholas W. Misenti, Sr. and Constance (Bartolotta) Danko. Nick worked for Southern New England Telephone (SNET) for 36 years, first as an installer in Middletown, then as a programmer in New Haven. He was also a drummer in several working bands entertaining in clubs, and at parties and weddings for many years. During his free time and in retirement, he enjoyed boating, fishing, birdwatching, movies, and was the family photographer. His greatest joy was being with his grandchildren. In addition to his wife, he is survived by his daughters, Kimberly Barringer and her husband Fred of Monroe, and Kelly Tuttle of Middletown; siblings, Diana Morgan of Waterbury, Michael Danko and his wife Mary of Woodside, CA, and Mark Danko and his wife Lisa of Middletown; stepfather, Stanley Danko of Middletown; grandchildren, Laura, Ryan, Sydney, Tyler, Andrew and Allison; and several nieces and nephews. He was very proud of his family, who will always love and miss him dearly. Funeral services will be held Saturday, July 23rd at 11 a.m. at Biega Funeral Home, 3 Silver St., Middletown. Burial will be in Middlefield Cemetery. Friends may call at Biega Funeral Home on Saturday from 10 to 11 a.m. prior to the service. In lieu of flowers, those who wish may send memorial contributions to St. Jude Children's Hospital, a charity Nick held dear to his heart.
