Nettie Elizabeth "Lib" Keaton, 97, formerly of the Ebenezer Community, entered into her Heavenly home Wednesday November 16, 2022 at The Garden House of Anderson.
Born on July 8, 1925 in Anderson to the late Marvin and Sadie Kay Keaton, she received her BA in Education from Anderson College. She taught in Anderson County Schools for 30 years.
She was a Christian and lifelong member of Ebenezer United Methodist Church where she was very active in all church ministries. She served Meals on Wheels for 19 years.
Surviving are her nephews, Tommy Todd (Karen), Andy Keaton (Judy), David Keaton (Elaine), Danny Keaton, Mike Beasley and Mark Beasley (Karen); her nieces, Marsha K. Perrotte (Joe), Beth Holland (Pat), and Patricia Merck (Gary); several great nephews and nieces. She was predeceased by her brothers, Kenneth Keaton, James Robert "Bob" Keaton, and Andrew Keys, her sisters, Lydia Keaton, Frances K Todd, and Eula Beasley.
Graveside services will be conducted Saturday at 11:00 AM from the Ebenezer United Methodist Church Cemetery with Rev. Kempie Shepard and Rev. Steve Silvey officiating. The family will receive friends immediately following the service.
The family is at their respective homes.
