Nestora Luna (Ne), 89 of Ozona, Texas, born on March 21, 1931 to Consuela and Antonio Herrera has gone forth to eternal rest on January 27, 2021. Our beautiful Nestora was married to Ramiro M. Luna of Ozona and throughout her lifetime they lived in California, Oregon, Idaho, and Ozona and San Angelo, Texas eventually finding permanent residence in Midland, Texas. Ne, was a loving, nurturing strong-willed woman that had the deepest love for her family and friends.
She loved to sing and dance, listen to music, ride on a motorcycle or ride a bike. She enjoyed cooking and baking, playing cards with family and friends, and doing a word-find daily with her red pen, and reading and gifting "The Word Among Us" to her loved ones. She loved sewing, creating everything from dish-towels to quincea?era dresses. She was always a seamstress for family and friends and at a time, for Parkview Hospital. She had the best time being a Room Mother at the schools and a Den Mother for the Boy Scouts, especially when students and scouts would still recognize her today. She had the greenest thumb and loved to watch her flowers grow. She had many very close friends who were always welcomed to the pot of coffee brewing. Her closest friends were her brothers and sisters who she cherished her time with. She was the greatest cheerleader to all of her grand and great-grandkids. She could always be counted on for early morning birthday calls and handwritten birthday and holiday cards in the mail. Her love was deep and profound.
She is survived by her loving husband of 73 years, Ramiro M. Luna, her two sons Richard Luna, of Boulder, Colorado; Alex Luna and wife Lisa; her daughter Norma Duran and husband Torivio; and daughter-in-law Eva Luna, all of Midland, Texas; and Connie Luna of Coppell, Texas; brother Robert Herrera and wife Elva; sister Elodia Fuantoz; and sister-in-law Angie Herrera, all of San Angelo, Texas; brother Alfredo Herrera and wife Marisela of Austin, Texas; 14 Grandkids; 13 Great-Grandkids; a future Great-Grandchild; and numerous nephews and nieces.
