Nellie Sartiano

Nellie Sartiano, 97, of Murrells Inlet, SC passed away on Sunday, February 9, 2025, at Magnolia Bridge of Murrells Inlet, SC. She was born May 13, 1927 in Johnstown, PA, daughter of the late, Stephen Honchar and Anna Delleba Honchar.

In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, Albert A. Sartiano; two brothers, John and Paul Honchar; and sisters, Patty Lewis, Mary Kuswara, and Olga Cook.

She is survived by one son, Frank Sartiano (Shirley Polenik) of Murrells Inlet, SC; one daughter, Camille Sartiano Glowitz (Guy) of New Castle, DE; four grandchildren, Bryan, Michelle, Eric, Ryan; seven great grandchildren, Aurora, Rocco, Betty, Enzo, Nicholas, Cara, and Olivia; as well as loving nieces, Carmela Perry and Palma Pencola.

She was a member of St. Anthony's Catholic Church in Johnstown, PA for many years, as well as St. Clare of Assisi Parish.

In her free time, she enjoyed spending time fishing, cooking, baking and playing Bingo.

A graveside service will take place in the spring in Pennsylvania. Those arrangements will be announced when finalized.
