On March 27, 2021, at Branford Hospice, Neil Francis Nastri, 70, of Deep River, left the Earth quietly after a long fight with cancer. In addition, he suffered for many years with medical ailments that affected his health. Born to the late Paul F. Nastri, of West Haven, and Dolores Mary Burness Nastri, of New Haven. Neil attended West Haven High school, then attended Pier Art School, where he grew enthusiastically passionate about art. Neil proved to be an outstanding watercolor artist, he gifted his art to create others' joy. After pursuing his education, Neil worked at St Raphael's hospital, where he met the love of his life for thirty-five years, the late Jennifer Lorraine Cummings Nastri. Neil was a kind and loving partner to his wife Jennifer, as well as an honorable father to their three children. Neil was an avid runner, he was a youth coach for many sports in the community, he played a pivotal role in Deep River Junior Fife and Drum corp, as well as played third base for a softball league. In his spare time, Neil enjoyed staying active and cherishing time with his loved ones. Neil leaves behind his daughter, Sarah E. Nastri Bourne and son-in-law, John L. Bourne, Jr. of Killingworth, CT; son, Matthew T. Nastri, of Norwich, CT; former daughter-in-law Kheika Johnson Nelsen; and son, James P. Nastri, of Deep River, CT. Neil's heart was overflowing with unfathomable amounts of love for his grandchildren, Deven F. Nastri of West Hartford, Malachi J. Bourne, Josiah C. Bourne, and Jennifer "Rosie" Bourne, all of Killingworth, CT. Their fondest loving memories consisted of the simple things in life that were so delicately taught. Neil loved to fix things, create projects and make others happy. Many people knew Neil as a man of God who walked closely with the Lord. As evident in his
