Nathaniel James Hester, beloved husband, son and brother and friend to many passed away on July 20, 2018 after a valiant and courageous battle with olfactory neuroblastoma.
He is survived by his loving wife, Demi; parents, Rev. Mark Hester and Sally Leach Hester; sister, Rebecca Miller (husband, David); brother, Robert; nieces, Phoenix and Maxwell Miller; grand-father, Robert Boyden Leach; mother-in-law, Colleen Marley (Thomas Book), and many other family members and numerous friends.
He was born on December 30, 1979 to parents Mark and Sally Leach Hester. He was their first great blessing. He'll be remembered for his giving heart, his endearing personality and his zest for living life to the fullest.
Nathaniel enjoyed sky-diving, snow skiing, boating & scuba diving. He was a gifted pianist & flutist and played the bells with the Knoxville Christian Arts Music Ministry. He volunteered for several years with the Emerald Youth Foundation. Nathaniel was the current Trustee, Past President, Past Vice President, and Past Treasurer with the Stephen Holston Chapter of the Sons of the American Revolution. He was a member of both the First Families of Tennessee and First Families of Franklin. He was a life-long Cumberland Presbyterian. He spent his 17 year career working, and serving others as a Financial Adviser and the past 10 years with Raymond James as a Vice-President.
He was predeceased by his infant sister, Jennie Marie, his grandparents, Rev. Dr. James David Hester, Barbara Connor Hester and Sarah Long Leach Peterson. He was dearly loved and will be forever missed.
In lieu of flowers, gifts may be made to the Emerald Youth Foundation in Memory of Nathaniel James Hester.
The family will receive friends from 1 to 2 p.m. on Saturday with a Celebration of Life Memorial service to follow at the Click Funeral Home in Farragut with the Rev. Dr. R. David Lancaster officiating.
