Faye was born on July 3, 1942 in Highlandville Missouri. She graduated from Central high school where she had been a Kilties. She attended Southwest Missouri State University where she found her greatest love and got married. Their love story encompassed 59 years. The memories are wonderful and vast. Her greatest passion was her family, her children and her grandchildren. She was truly extraordinary. Always there for comfort, encouragement and a caring ear with a platter of warm, fresh baked cookies. She put everyone else’s wants and needs ahead of her own and did it with grace and love. In 2008 she was diagnosed with stage 4 breast cancer - saying to her family and her doctors “this will not take me, I will beat this.” And she did. Tough and determined, she fought hard and beat it. In 2021 she was officially cancer free. Faye/ Grammy was deeply loved and cared for by all and will be greatly missed.
The family would like to thank these doctors and nurses for their steadfast care. Dr. Lavanya Tiriveedhi, Dr. Dominic Meldi, Dr. Sami Khoshyomn, Nurse Deb Essary and the entire medical staff at Mercy Hospital ICU.
Psalm 31
In you, O LORD, I have taken refuge; let me never be put to shame; deliver me in your righteousness. Turn your ear to me, come quickly to my rescue; be my rock of refuge, a strong fortress to save me. Since you are my rock and my fortress, for the sake Of your name lead and guide me.
