Nancy S. Hunn, 71, of Shipshewana, passed from this life at 2:00 pm on Monday, October 21. She is now free of the burden of Alzheimer's and is at peace and rejoicing in the presence of her Savior. Nancy was born on December 16, 1952, in South Bend, to the late Robert and Bertha (Atwood) Garner of Michigan City. On June 18, 1977, in Elkhart, she married Rev. Kenneth Hunn, with whom she helped serve in churches in Warsaw, Nappanee, and Goshen. Together they served the Brethren Church denomination, helping to connect new and existing churches in a dozen countries around the world. Survivors in addition to her husband are their children, Andrew (Ashley) Hunn of Lewis Center, OH, Carol Hunn of McKeesport, PA, and Jonathan (Stefanie) Hunn of Ashland, OH. Left behind are grandchildren, Elijah, Zachary, Naomi, and Robert Hunn; a sister, Carol (Jeff) Keppen of Benton, AR, along with nieces, Mallori and Sydni. Nancy was a graduate of Elston High School, Michigan City, of Bethel College, and held a master's degree in music from Indiana University. In addition to raising her three children, she was a devoted grandmother, a school teacher, musician, entrepreneur, artist, and crafter. Nancy was beautiful in every way, loved to laugh, held her own in lively conversation, and was well-loved by all who were privileged to know or work alongside her. Visitation will be from 9:00 am - 12:00 noon on Friday, October 25, at Jefferson Community Church, 58915 State Road 15, Goshen. Funeral services will immediately follow visitation beginning at 12:00 noon also at the church. Services will be conducted by Dr. James Black. A private graveside service will be held in Keightley Cemetery, Shipshewana. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made in Nancy's memory to Jefferson Community Church.
