Was born January 10, 1938 in Hawthorne, California to father Dario and mother Muriel Robinson. She attended Lutheran Church Missouri Synod elementary school through the eighth grade. She graduated from Chaffey High School in Ontario, California in 1955 where she excelled in academics, tennis and swimming. She became a registered nurse andworked in that field for 25 years, one patient being movie director Alfred Hitchcock. During this time, she also attended the Otis Art Institute in Los Angeles and began to pursue her passion for painting. In her mid-40s, she moved with her partner, Bea McVey, to Taos and opened a used bookstore, Hooked On Books, which continues to thrive.
