Nancy J. Carr

Nancy J. (Kendall) Carr, age 86, passed away peacefully on March 20, 2023 at Pappus House in York.

Nancy was born in Harrisburg on September 9, 1936 and was the daughter of the late Robert and Catharine (Hoopes) Kendall. She was a member of Redeemer Lutheran Church in Florida and enjoyed boating, water aerobics, reading, traveling, and large family dinners. Above all, Nancy cherished the time she spent with her loving family.

Nancy is survived by her children Lynda Merkatz and partner Mark Updike and David Carr and wife Jennifer; her granddaughter Jessica Bishard; her son-in-law Daniel Houser; and numerous nieces and nephews. Nancy was preceded in death by her daughter Suzy Houser.

A graveside service in celebration of Nancy's life will be held at 11:30AM on April 29, 2023 at Rolling Green Cemetery, 1811 Carlisle Rd, Camp Hill, PA 17011, with Chaplain Dorothy Everhart officiating. The family services are being held under the direction of Beck Funeral Home & Cremation Service, Inc. of East York.
