Nancy (Compton) Brenneman, 84, of Summit Mills, PA, went to be with the Lord on Thursday, December 24, 2020. Nancy was preceded in death by parents Allen and Ruth (Bowman) Compton; sisters, Mary Ruth Klotz, Martha Jane (Robert) Beachy, Elaine (Bill) Tozian; brother, Emmett; sister-in-law, Kathryn (Elwood) Firl and great-nephew, Troy Weaver. Nancy is survived by Ronald, her husband of 66 years; sons, Terry (Lisa) and David (Sandra), all of Salisbury; sisters, Adeline (Ross) Nestor, of Petersburg, WV and Elizabeth (Harold) Nicholson, of Meyersdale; and many nieces and nephews. Nancy and Ron owned and operated the family farm, including a large maple sugar camp, with help from their sons, family members and friends. Nancy enjoyed life. She was an energetic homemaker and gracious hostess, with extended family being especially important to her. She was a baker at Penn Alps Restaurant for 17 years. Nancy and Ron loved to travel and took many trips throughout the western United States, visiting many National Parks. They enjoyed a special trip to Ireland to visit her brother. Nancy was a faithful member of Summit Mills Grace Brethren Church, where she played the piano for many years, served as a Deaconess and on other committees. In lieu of flowers, donations may be sent to In Touch Hospice, Somerset, PA. A private family service will be conducted by Gabe Yoder.
