Nancee Jon (Gerbersman) Byington, age 80, passed away peacefully Saturday, July 17, 2021. "Be Still and Know that I am God".
Nancee was born October 21, 1940, the second of the four "Gerbersman girls" born to Vernon and Bernice Gerbersman in St. Louis/Kirkwood, MO. From an early age, Nancee studied violin at renowned Webster College, Valedictorian Northwest High School, and later Maryville College/Business Management. She married Wayne Byington the day after she turned 21 and started her career at Monsanto Chemical Company from 1959 to 1996 in HR, marketing and certified meeting and professional event planner including the 1996 Olympics and USA golf tournaments.
Nancee enjoyed the sheer joy of artistic expression. Very sharp and innovative, she was always "Looking Up" for creative innovation to challenge herself and others, especially children, be it designing her Lake Ozark home, slalom skiing, traveling, golf, professional oil painting, promoting Symphony of the Lake, working to aid hunger relief, working women, and interfaith organizations.
She was a loving daughter, sister, wife, special aunt, cousin, and friend with many professional and lifelong close friends.
Nancee is preceded in death by her parents, her older sister Barbara (Ed) Knaus, a niece and two nephews.
She is survived by her husband, Wayne Byington, who shared her love of God and the Lake of the Ozarks, now living in Corpus Christi, Texas; her sisters, Sue (Jim) Krause, Farmington, MO., Amy (Jon) Gibson, Corpus Christi, Texas.
Dedication and blessings for Nancee and her violin were at First Christian Church, CC July 18, 2021. Private viewing and loving respects were held at Seaside Funeral Home, July 19, 2021. Cremated remains will be held close until Wayne can "See you later, Buddy."
