Nahwana Diane Lambeth Donoho, 81, affectionally known as "Wanie" went to be with her Lord on Tuesday, January 4, 2022. She was born January 21, 1940 in Goree, TX to Fan and Merle Lambeth.
Wanie was an outgoing and popular student at Goree High School where she was named "Miss Goree High School." She went on to graduate Magna Cum Laude from Midwestern State University with a degree in education. Wanie taught Junior and Senior English at San Angelo and Munday, where she was fondly known as "Mrs. D" by her students. She loved to have fun and teach them to prepare for the future.
Wanie was a member of First Baptist Church in Munday. She loved to visit and gossip with her many lady friends at church and school.
She is preceded in death by her parents Fan and Merle Lambeth. Wanie is survived by her husband Doug Donoho of Wichita Falls; children Kathy and partner Ruben, Jay and wife Amy, and Zane and wife Kristi. She is also survived by seven beautiful grandchildren, Elysa, Caleb, Cooper, Kathryn, Carter, Knox and Corbin.
A visitation will be held from 5-6PM, Friday, January 7th at McCauley-Smith Funeral Home in Munday. (130 N Birch Ave) Funeral services will be held at 2PM, Saturday, January 8th at the First Baptist Church in Munday. Interment will follow in Goree Cemetery under the direction of McCauley-Smith Funeral Home.
