Myrtle M. Kolhepp, a resident of Bethany Gardens in Rome, NY, passed away Sunday, February 21, 2021, at Faxton-St. Luke's Healthcare in New Hartford after suffering from long term heart disease. Born July 24, 1924, in Malone, NY, a daughter of the late Henry and Eva (Vemitt) Jeror. On June 29, 1943, she was united in marriage to Earl L. Kolhepp. He passed away, December 13, 1976.
She resided in Rome most of her life and her favorite employment was at St. Peter's Church in Rome. Myrtle loved to cook and bake, knit and crochet and play BINGO.
She is survived by three daughters, Diane Bowen (Tim), Linda Pelano and Doris Mulkey (Mark); eight grandchildren, Noelle Manna (Peter Jr.), Holly Lokker (Robb), Jody Fitzgerald (Peter), Charles Pelano (Alexandra), Tammy Sochia (Erick), Tina Pelano, Erick Mulkey (Rachel) and Heather Pearson (Donald); ten great-grandchildren, six great-great-grandchildren , and several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by three brothers, Henry Jr., Robert and Herbert Jeror; and one sister, Elizabeth Kicak.
Myrtle's family would like to thank the folks at Bethany Gardens and Faxton-St. Luke's for their wonderful care and compassion.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Friday, February 26th at 11:00 a.m. at St. Peter's Church, 200 N. James St., Rome. Interment will take place in St. Peter's Cemetery. There are no calling hours. In lieu of flowers, please consider a donation in Myrtle's memory to a charity of your choice.
