Myrtle Dean Lewis Hale, 74, of Rocky Mount, passed away on July 1, 2023. Mrs. Hale was born on August 2, 1948, the daughter of the late Issac M. Lewis and Annie Pearl Smith Lewis. She was also preceded in death by her brothers: Bobby Lewis and Mike Lewis.
Dean is survived by her children: Andy Hale (Denise) of Littleton and Angela Hale (Joe) of Rocky Mount; her grandchildren Jordan Hale (Jamie), Colby Hale (Leah), Tyler Hale (Grace), Dusty Hale (Mallory), Matthew Perry, and Zachary Perry; her great grandchildren: Jordan Hale (JC), Dallas Hale, Wyatt Hale, and arriving soon Everett Hale. Dean also leaves behind special friends, Jamie LeMin, Chris Jarvis, Hubert Pike Jr., and Doug Pittard.
Dean spent most of her time at the family's towing business. She enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren and great grandchildren. She looked forward to the occasional get-together with her children and grandchildren.
Dean requested that only a graveside service be held when she passed. So per her request, Her service will be held at 4:00 PM on Saturday, July 8th in Elmwood Cemetery. Friends may sign the online register by visiting www.hockadayfs.com.
