Mynhart O. "Mo" Brueckner passed away suddenly on May 4, 2019. Mo was born in Chattanooga and grew up in Loudon. He was the son of the late Mynhart Oswald Brueckner and Eva Helen Davis Brueckner. He was preceded in death by his brother Robert Davis Brueckner; his wife of 41 years, Georgene Rose Deller Brueckner; and his second wife Mary McKelvey Roberts.
Mo attended the Indiana Institute of Technology, served in the U.S. Army and was retired from IBM. He was a member of the Masonic Lodge 204 F&AM where he served as Past Master and a member of the Scottish Rite Temple. Mo was also a member of St. Paul Lutheran Church in Maryville, a Community Food Connection volunteer and a Duke Blue Devils fan.
He is survived by sons Bob Brueckner (Suzanne Corr) and Mark Brueckner (Claudia) of Durham, NC; daughter Ann White (Thom) of Union, SC; granddaughters Kelsey White of Greensboro, NC; Emma Paris (Matt) of Atlanta, GA; Caitlin White of Columbia, SC; and Olivia Brueckner of Durham, NC; special friend Eleanor French of Maryville; nieces and nephews; and his cat, Sheba.
A memorial service will be held 2:00 PM Saturday, June 29th at St. Paul Lutheran Church in Maryville with Rev. Rev. Rick Ohsiek officiating. Contributions in memory of Mo may be made to St. Paul Lutheran Church, for Lutheran World Relief, 429 Sandy Springs Rd, Maryville, TN 37803; the Community Food Connection of Blount County; an animal rescue organization in your community; or another charity of your choice.
