Myles Maravich, age 75, of Shippensburg, and formerly of Steelton, passed away Wednesday, January 22, 2020, at Hershey Medical Center.
He was born January 16, 1945, and was a graduate of Steelton-Highspire High School Class of 1962 and Shippensburg State College with a Bachelor's and two Master's degrees.
He was a programmer and project manager at Mechanicsburg Naval Depot for 41 years. He formerly taught at Carlisle High School and Boiling Springs High School, and additionally coached football and basketball in both school districts. He was a member of St. Nicholas Serbian Eastern Orthodox Church, Oberlin.
Myles is survived by his wife of 33 years, Paula Hosfelt Maravich of Shippensburg; three sons, Nykolas and Kylelar Maravich, Las Vegas, and Ryzeson Maravich, Shippensburg; one daughter, Kysesen Maravich, State College and one granddaughter, Fransisca Maravich, Las Vegas. Myles is preceded in death by his parents, Samuel Maravich, Sr. and Mildred Chelap Maravich and two brothers, Ronald and Samuel Maravich, Jr.
Professional services are entrusted to Dugan Funeral Home and Crematory, Inc., Shippensburg. Private funeral services were held by Dugan Funeral Home and Crematory. Myles is laid to rest in Cumberland Valley Memorial Gardens Cemetery, Carlisle.
