Ms. Karen Sue Davis, 77, passed away on Monday, April 8, 2024 in the comfort of her home.
Karen was born in Akron, Ohio on July 10, 1946 to the late Harriet Yost and James Ginn.
Karen was an outgoing, free spirit who never met a stranger. She had a big heart and would lend a helping hand to anyone in need. She called the Aiken area home for the past 40 years, but prior to that she resided in Kentucky and Ohio. She loved traveling, but her favorite place was the beach, Shelter Island, NY and Tybee Island, GA. Gardening was one of her favorite hobbies, and you could often find her relaxing with a cold beer in hand. Karen had many endearing titles, Momma Karen, Aunt Grandma, Weeza, but she was everyone's Aunt Karen. She loved the large family she collected through the years. Through her four battles with cancer, she remained a strong and faithful follower. Karen attended Our Lady of the Valley Catholic Church for many years. She will be missed by many.
In addition to her parents, Karen is preceded in death by her 3 siblings, Ann Bilu, Bruce Ginn and James Ginn (Maureen). Left to cherish her memory along with her daughter, in every sense, Susan Jordan (Chuck), nieces Nicole Bilu (Greg), Amy Langan (Ted), Julie Butt (Joe), Kelly Steinhauser (Jamie) Kate Ginn, and nephews Alexander Bilu and Chad Ginn and all of their children.
In accordance with her wishes, Karen will be cremated and returned to one of her favorite places- the beach. Her celebration of life will be announced at a later time.
