Mrs. Virginia (Ginny) Catherine Brantley Staton, 100, North Augusta, SC, wife to the late Gordon Luther Brantley, entered into rest on Tuesday, July 5, 2022.
Born in Aiken County, SC, Ginny was the daughter of the late Fred Craig and Vera Purvis Craig. She was Gloverville's first Postmaster at the Gloverville Post Office. Ginny enjoyed traveling, taking care of all of her grands and great grands. She loved chocolate and playing games, but her biggest passion in life was her love for the game of golf. She is credited with six holes-in-one.
In addition to her parents, family members include her children, Becky Barber and Craig Brantley (Sherri); sisters, the late Melba Keel and the late Barbara Kearse; grandchildren, Monica Baynham (Paul), Tom Brantley (Claudia), and Kristen Brantley; step-granddaughter Molly Golden (Lewie) and two step-great grandchildren; five great grandchildren, and two great-great grandchildren.
The family will greet friends on Saturday, July 9, 2022 beginning at two o'clock, at Hatcher Funeral Home and Cremation Service, 3464 Jefferson Davis Hwy, Graniteville, SC 29829. A Celebration of Life service will follow in the chapel at three o'clock with Pastor Kirk Kinson officiating.
The family would like to thank the staff at St Joseph Hospice and Hammond Place for the loving care given to Mrs. Virginia.
