Mrs. Judy Jo McLellan Fisher, 71, entered into eternal rest on Friday, August 26, 2022.
Judy was born in Mullins, South Carolina on July 8th, 1951 to Mary Venice Rabon and John David McLellan, Sr. She grew up in Florence, South Carolina and graduated from McClenaghan High School.
After her grandchildren were born, she moved to Lexington, South Carolina. She was a loyal employee for over 15 years at Lexington Medical Center, where she worked in Nutrition Services. She had just retired in the Spring of this year. Judy enjoyed her job and met many good friends and was fondly known as "Mama" to some of her younger coworkers.
She loved to read and was a regular visitor at the Lexington Main Library. She also enjoyed completing the daily puzzles in the newspaper. You could often find her talking with friends on the back porch with a can of cold Diet Pepsi nearby. But above of all, she was most passionate about her grandchildren, who affectionately referred to her as "Gee." She lived with the family and was an integral part of every aspect of their lives.
In addition to her parents, Judy was predeceased by her sister Johnnie Kay Polony and her brother John David "Mack" McLellan, Jr.
Left to cherish her memory along with her daughter Kimberly Hatcher (Charles), are her sister Sue Grantham (Don), her grandchildren Ethan and Avery Hatcher, and several nieces and nephews.
In accordance with Judy's wishes, no funeral service will be held. From her family: "We will celebrate her life and the love we had for her as a family, and invite everyone to do the same in your own special way. We know that she will be with us all in spirit."
