Montie Clay Smith, 63, passed away on November 25th in Odessa, TX.
Viewing will be Thursday, December 2, 2021, from 5:00 PM until 8:00 PM at American Heritage Funeral Home
Funeral service will be held on Friday, December 3, 2021, at 2:00 PM at Central Baptist Church, 1416 N Texas in Odessa.
Interment immediately following funeral service at American Heritage Cemetery.
Montie was born in Ft. Stockton, TX to Ronald and Carol Smith on January 22, 1958. He attended Permian High School, Class of 1976. He married Shelia McLeroy on August 30, 1985. Montie was the co-owner with his brother, Michael, of Performance Plus in Odessa, TX. He was greatly loved by so many in the community. Anyone who knew Montie says he always had a smile on his face and love in his heart. An avid hot-rodder, and toy collector, himself, he passed the love for cars down to his children and grandchildren; his legacy will live on.
Montie was preceded in death by his grandparents R.J. & Hazel Smith and Clarence & LaVern King.
Montie is survived by his parents, Ronald and Carole Smith; wife, Shelia Smith; son, Zachary Smith (Ashley) and his family; daughters, Kaylea Smith and Baylea Scarborough (Zane) and their families; and brother, Michael Smith (Sandy), and his family.
Pallbearers will be Bobby Barrett, Mark Barrett, Jimmy Coppedge, Jeff Fain, Eric
Smith, David Wiest, Paul Spaulding, and George Sawyer
