Monica L. (Arnold) (Trotter) "Cookie" O'Shea, age 80, of Pewaukee, WI, a former Janesville resident passed away on October 31, 2024, at the Agrace HospiceCare Center in Fitchburg, WI. She was born in Janesville on December 1, 1943, the daughter of Robert and Marie (Kampa) Arnold. She grew up in Janesville, attended St. Mary's School and graduated from Janesville High School in 1962.
Monica married Nathan Trotter and they had two daughters, Michelle and Laura. She later married Daniel O'Shea who preceded her in death on October 16, 2021. Monica was formerly employed by Eagle Food Store in Janesville. After moving to Denver Colorado, she worked for Kings Soopers Supermarkets. Monica attended Arapahoe Community College where she received a degree in nursing. After obtaining her degree, she was employed as a radiation oncology nurse.
Cookie enjoyed music and had a love for animals, especially the dogs she had during her lifetime. She will be remembered for the special love she had for nursing and for her family.
She is survived by her daughters; Michelle M (Eric) Graboski of Denver, CO, Laura A. Broacha of Pewaukee, WI; granddaughters, Erin Graboski and Emily Graboski; brother, Dean Arnold; sisters, Debra Gajdosik and Becky Cronin. In addition to her husband Daniel O'Shea she was preceded in death by her parents, Robert and Marie Arnold and her brother Leland "Lee" Arnold.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, November 13, 2024, at NATIVITY OF MARY CATHOLIC CHURCH, Janesville. A Florence Nightengale Nurses memorial service will precede the Mass. Visitation will be from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. November 13th at the church. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Humane Society of the United States https://humanesociety.org/ or Paws for Purple Hearts pawsforpurplehearts.org/
