Molly Louise B. Hunter, 91, died peacefully surrounded by her children on Tuesday, April 12, 2022 at the Courville at Nashua. She was born in Los Angeles, CA on January 18, 1931, the daughter of Orval M. and Mildred (Beattie) Bendure. She was raised in Youngstown, Ohio and attended Kent State University before graduating from Skidmore College in Saratoga Springs NY, Class of 1952. While at Skidmore, she met Millard B. Hunter, her husband of 64 years. They lived in Houston, TX, New Providence, NJ (20 years) and Huntington, WV before enjoying a 30-year retirement in New London, NH. While in New London, Mollylou was a member of the Kearsarge Community Presbyterian Church and the New London Garden Club. After Millard's passing in 2018, she spent the last 4 years at the Harvest Hill Assisted Living community in Lebanon, NH. She enjoyed reading, gardening, walking and quilting.
In addition to her husband, Mollylou is also predeceased by her brother William B. Bendure, who was killed in the Battle of the Bulge. Members of her family surviving include two daughters, Linda Hunter Sylvester and her husband, Joe of Amherst, NH and Judith A. Hunter and her husband, Robert Sutor of Geneseo, NY; a son, Bruce W. Hunter and his wife, Leslie of Wellesley, MA; eight grandchildren - Chris, Andrew, Sarah, Alison, Kelsey, Emily, Katherine and William; and eight great grandchildren - Calvin, Hazel, Virginia, Rhys, Callum, Daniel, Molly and Hunter.
A burial service for the immediate family will be held May 21 with a memorial service at the Kearsarge Community Presbyterian Church at 2:30 PM.
