Molly Laverne Wadel, 81, of Kearneysville, passed away Friday, August 13, 2021, at her home, while surrounded by her loving family and under the care of Hospice. Born August 3, 1940, in Prince William County, Virginia, she was the daughter of the late Clyde Roland Anderson and Amanda Able.
She retired from the Prince William County, Virginia public school system, where she had worked as a cafeteria manager.
She is survived by her three sons: Clyde Wadel, of Brandy Station, Virginia, Troy Wadel, and wife Dorothy, of Midland, Virginia, and David Wadel, of Manassas, Virginia; daughter, Teresa Walker, and husband Dale, of Kearneysville; two sisters: Brenda Riffle, of Flint, Michigan, and Juanita Staples, and husband Russ, of Nelson, Virginia; seven grandchildren and eight great grandchildren.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Sam Levi Wadel; son, Sammy Wadel, Jr.; three brothers and one sister.
A memorial service will be held from 3 to 5 pm, Sunday, August 29, 2021, at the Pierce Funeral Home, 9609 Center St., Manassas, Virginia, 20110.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial contributions in Molly's honour be made to Hospice of the Panhandle.
