Minnie Carman Spears, 91, of Danville, passed away on Tuesday, March 1 at Landmark of Bardstown. She was born November 3, 1930, in Casey County, to the late Boone and Della Elliott Carman, and was the oldest and last surviving sibling of her family.
Following employment at Junction City Elementary School Cafeteria, and as Britt's Coffee Shop manager, she retired from Penn Ventilator. She was a member of First Baptist Church in Junction City.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her siblings, Berdena, Conrad, Kirby Carman, Faustine and two grandchildren.
She is survived by her four children, John Anthony (Carolyn) Goodman, William (Julie) Spears, Dottie (Terry) Chadwell and Berdina Mills, as well as seven grandchildren, fourteen great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild.
A Celebration of Life is scheduled for 12:00 p.m. Saturday at Stith Funeral Home, Junction City with Dr. Choe Sargeant. Visitation will be from 10:00 a.m. to noon prior to the service. Burial will be at Hustonville National Cemetery. Minnie's grandsons will serve as pallbearers. Donna Singleton and her granddaughter's will be honorary pallbearers.
