Minnie F. (Sechler) Romesberg, 90 of Garrett, PA born January 1, 1930, went to be with her Lord and Savior November 11, 2020 at UPMC Mercy Hospital Pittsburgh, after a long battle of Alzheimer's Dementia and a recent brain bleed from a fall. She was a resident of the Patriot in Somerset, PA. Minnie was the daughter of the late Ray S. and Ada Margaret (Swearman) Sechler of St. Paul, PA. Also, preceded in death by husband Dwight "Chic" Romesberg, infant daughter Kathy Ann, brother Charlie and numerous in-laws and other relatives. Survived by sister Arlene (Sechler) Wilhelm of Listonburg, PA and a brother Paul Sechler of Ranson, WV. Also, survived by the following children, grandchildren and great grandchildren: Sharon Colardo (Joseph), Harrisburg, PA: Colleen Ciavola (Michael), Newstanton Square, PA; Daniel Romesberg (Veronica), Pittsburgh, PA; Linda Romesberg, Garrett, PA. Survived by beloved grandchildren: Dominic Colardo and Anthony Colardo (Katie), Harrisburg, PA: Valerie Ciavola, Glen Mills, PA and Suzanne (Ciavola) Newman (Oliver), Media PA; Alexandra Romesberg (Jerry) of Pittsburgh, PA. Great grandchildren: Zachary Colardo, Harrisburg, PA; Luisa Ondo, Pittsburgh, PA and another great grandson on the way Feb., 2021. Also, survived by numerous nieces and nephews. Minnie got married to Dwight March 31, 1951. They came to his parent's home on the mountain between Rockwood and Garrett to start a family of their vey own. Minnie has always been a wonderfully devoted Christian who for most of her married adult life, she attended and taught Sunday School and later VBS at a little country church that was called the Blackfield Union Sunday School near Blackfield, PA. Minnie taught her children well. Always gently tried to guide them in doing good for others and be kind and thoughtful. Minnie was such a kind, good hearted soul, gentle, loving and comforting to all those who came in contact with her. She was never known to be mean or ill tempered to anyone. Among her many talents and gifts she had on this earth, she was an active participant in a judge of elections at the Rockwood Municipal Building and she even wrote a column in the Daily American Newspaper. Minnie will always be remembered as a great source of comfort and love and her love will support her family all of their lives. She is finally at peace and may we be reunited in Heaven with her, Dad, our grandparents, our baby sister, our uncle and all our loved ones and friends. Funeral arrangements will be made by the Leckemby Funeral Home in Meyersdale, PA. A one hour viewing from 11:00 am to 12:00 pm and a half an hour service will commence. At approximately 1:00 p.m. interment will begin at the Garrett Highland Cemetery in Garrett, PA. Due to the Coronavirus, a private family viewing is requested.
