Minnie R. Stroble, 92, of St. George, widow of Jack Stroble, entered into eternal rest on Thursday, September 8, 2022.
Funeral Services will be held 11:00 AM Saturday at Memorial Baptist Church with Rev. Dawjr Wood and Rawls Mitchell officiating. Burial will follow in the St. George Memorial Gardens. Pallbearers will be Lee Stroble, Brad Stroble, Marc Stroble, Kyle Stroble, Dale Waggoner and Bryan Waggoner. Visitation will be an hour before the service.
Minnie was born on June 5, 1930, in Harleyville, a daughter of the late William Derrick Risher, Sr. and Matilda Infinger Risher Howard. She worked at Chitty's Dime Store, St. George Florist and was a seamstress at Carolina Girls Wear. She was a member of Memorial Baptist Church and a charter member of the St. George Red Hatters. She was predeceased by a daughter, Matilda Elaine Stroble; siblings, Marion Risher, Daisy Drose, Elizabeth McLendon, half-brother, William Derrick Risher Jr.; stepfather, Benjamin Franklin Howard and stepbrother, Alvin Howard.
Surviving are two sons, Gary Judson (Christine) Stroble, Walterboro and Carlos Lee (Patsy) Stroble, St. Stephens; grandchildren, Marc Judson (Lisa) Stroble, Jacksonville, Kyle Evan (Elizabeth) Stroble, Walterboro, Carlos Lee Stroble, II, St. George and Bradford Manning (Tara) Stroble, Daniel Island; great-grandchildren, Tyler Jackson Stroble, Colin Tanner Stroble, Evan Michael Stroble, Emily Nicole Stroble, Aiden Matthew Stroble, Kaitlin Ashley Stroble, Megan Lee Stroble, Langley Kate Stroble and Julia Rentz Stroble; half-brother, Glenn (Rhonda) Risher; half-sister, Nancy R. Pendarvis; and special niece and caregiver, Jeannie (Jeff) Waggoner.
