Funeral Services for Mildred Louise Scott, 94, wife of 51 years to the late T. Bruce Scott, owner of Scott Pharmacy in downtown Conroe, Medical Center Clinic Pharmacy of Conroe and Bruce Scott Pharmacy in Wharton, Texas, will be held Wednesday, March 24, 2021, at 10:00 a.m. at First Methodist Church Conroe with the Rev. Janet Stilwell officiating. Entombment will follow at Garden Park Cemetery Mausoleum with Cashner Funeral Home in charge of arrangements. Visitation will be held Tuesday, March 23, 2021 from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at Cashner Funeral Home.
Millie Scott was born February 9, 1927 in Houston, Texas, to the late Fletcher Cody and Emma Helen Dill. She and Bruce were married on September 2, 1950 and moved to Conroe in 1951. Millie passed away, as she fought through pancreatic cancer, in peace and in the presence of her loving family and grandchildren on March 12, 2021.
Millie was a member of the First United Methodist Church for 65 years and served on the Administrative Board and the Board of Trustees. She also gave her time and talents to the Worship Committee, the U.M.W. Board, Wedding Consultation and ushering for Sunday Service.
Millie also served on the Board of Montgomery County Performing Arts, Arts and Culture, the Art Walk, Heritage Museum, the Beautification Association, Service League, Service League Sustainer, the American Cancer Society, the Salvation Army and served as Chairperson of New Concept Circle.
Millie Scott is survived by her two sons and daughters-in-law, Philip Bruce Scott II, and Linda Cook of Alicante, Spain and Dr. Jon Eric Scott and Belinda of Houston, Texas; grandchildren, Kelly Ariane Cook-Ginn and Sean Philip Cook-Scott, great-grandchild Henry Robert Scott and grandchildren, Michael Jon Scott, Joseph Eric Scott and Sophia Belinda Scott; nephews, Dr. Garland Scott Novosad and Dr. Byron Lee Novosad; and niece, Lisa Sharp. Millie is also survived by her late brother Vernon Martin Dill's wife JoAnn and three nieces Diane, Karen and Pam.
Pallbearers are Dr. Jon Eric Scott, Michael Jon Scott, Joseph Eric Scott, Dr. Byron Lee Novosad, Dr. Mark H. Wilkerson and Guy S. Lipe, J.D. Honorary pallbearers are Ricky Diaz Sr., Ricky Diaz Jr., Albert Diaz, Armando Diaz, Martin Rodriguez, Dr. Garland Scott Novosad and Yael Arias Perez.
