Mike Davis, 69, of St. Anthony, Idaho returned home on Wednesday, May 4th, 2022. He blessed his parents, Emery and Alice Stone Davis, as the second child of five on August 22, 1952.
Mike attended and graduated from South Fremont High School in 1971 where he met his high school sweetheart, Christy Hughes, whom he later married in 1972. Mike was a devoted husband, father and grandfather to his four children and five grandchildren who were the light of his life.
Mike served in the National Guard for seven years. Mike worked his life herding sheep, farming, ranching with his brothers. He retired from Madison County Road & Bridge. He enjoyed being outdoors, hunting, horse riding, farming, ranching and spending time with his family. He could frequently be found on the country roads visiting, as he could befriend everyone he met.
Mike was an honest, proud, hard working man that was loved by many including all animals. He was so proud of the values, compassion, honesty, and wisdom that he taught to all of those that he loved. He always had a listening ear with a heart full of love and kindness.
He is survived by his wife Christy Davis, daughters Brandi Davis Daw (Sage Hill), Becky Garner (Dalan), son Zachery Davis (Blythe), daughter-in-law Patricia Davis (Jake Blackburn), his grandchildren Kyler Garner, Braxton Garner, Riley Davis, Makenzie Blackburn, Evelynn Davis, and Izelynn Davis. Siblings Rayce Davis, Betty Matarese (Jim), Adam Davis, and Jack Davis.
Mike was preceded in death by his parents, Emery and Alice Davis, his eldest son Shane Davis, and nephew Jason Davis.
A viewing for friends and family will be held Sunday, May 8, from 5:00 to 7:00 pm at the Wilford LDS Church.
Services will be held Monday, May 9th, at 11:00 am at the Wilford LDS Church. A viewing prior to the funeral will be held from 10:00-10:45 am. Interment will be in the Wilford Cemetery under the direction of Baxter Funeral Home. Condolences may be sent online to the family at www.baxterfh.com.
