Mieciu "Mickey" Babicz, 86, of Manchester died unexpectedly on November 4, 2019 in his home. Mickey was born on August 20, 1933 in Manchester the son of Joseph Babicz and Anna (Markowska) Babicz. Mickey grew up in Manchester and graduated from Manchester Central High School. He served his country in the United States Army. Following his honorable discharge, Mickey worked for New England Telephone for 35 years. He was an avid Golfer and Cribbage player and a lifetime member of Cluyb Mont Royal. He enjoyed watching all of the New England sports teams and will be deeply missed by all who knew him.Mickey is survived by his wife of 63 years, Gloria (Carri) Babicz, with whom he would have celebrated 64 years of marriage on November 24, 2019. He will also be missed by his daughter Laurie MacKenzie of Manchester and his grandson Steven LeClair of Manchester, his six additional grandchildren, seven great grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews.Calling hours will be held Monday, November 11, 2019 from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM at Cain & Janosz Funeral Home, 74 Brook Street (Corner of Pine), Manchester, NH.
