Michelle Marie Mueller (Chappuis) passed away peacefully on May 8, 2020, after nearly a two year fight with cancer. She was 53.
Michelle was born in Riverside, Calif., but resided in and around Rochester for most of her adult life. Michelle met Kent Mueller at Lourdes High School in 1982, and they were married in 1989. Michelle and Kent resided in Pine Island with their "kids" for the last 28 years.
Michelle loved spending time with her family and friends, playing pool, four wheeling and snowmobiling. She was never happier than simply "hanging" at the cabin with a good bottle of wine.
Michelle was a 1985 graduate of Lourdes High School in Rochester and went on to work for Hy-Vee grocery stores for 35 years. Most recently, Michelle was the customer service manager at Hy-Vee South. She retired in January 2020.
Michelle is survived by her husband, Kent; BPF, Reka; mother, Mary Chappuis; brothers, Michael Chappuis (Linda), John Chappuis (Rhonda Drennan) and Bill Chappuis (Penny); sisters, Aimee Mahoney (Joseph) and Nicole Smith (Bruce); along with 14 nieces and nephews.
Michelle was preceded in death by her father, Robert Chappuis; brother, Mark Chappuis; and "kids," Travis, Gunnar and Ewa.
Due to current restrictions, a private service is planned with a Celebration of Life to be held at a time in the future.
