SUN PRAIRIE, WIS. - Michele A. Benter, age 77 of Sun Prairie, Wis., and formerly of Kenosha, passed away on Wednesday, Aug. 11, 2021, at University Hospital in Madison, with her daughters by her side.
Michele was born in Kenosha on July 17, 1944, the daughter of Leo and Mary (Falduto) Venturini. She graduated from Bradford High School in Kenosha in 1962. Michele received her Bachelor of Science degree in Education from UW-Platteville and later her MBA from UW-Parkside. She was a life-long learner which allowed her to start as a receptionist and progress through various positions until she finally retired as a controller for the City of Racine.
Michele spent her time volunteering for various organizations including the Racine Literacy Council and Agrace HospiceCare. Later in life she enjoyed playing Euchre with her friends. But what was always most important to Michele was her family.
Michele is survived by her two daughters, Christine (Darrell) Parsons of Appleton and Susan (Andy) Quamme of Waterloo; two grandchildren, Abby and Evie Quamme; two step-grandchildren, Sondra and Allie Parsons; a brother, Leo (Mary Beth) Venturini of Fort Wayne, Ind.; two nephews, Tony (Carrie) and Michael (Mari) Venturini; a niece Lindsay (Phil) Penny; and her significant other, Larry Berg of Sun Prairie.
She was preceded in death by her parents.
A memorial service was held on Saturday, Aug. 14, 2021, at ALL FAITHS FUNERAL CHAPEL, Madison. In lieu of flowers a memorial fund is being established.
